After you pass the barriers of the secure Jan Sofat resort, you will arrive at a mini resort, a true oasis on the Spanish Water that many may not know exists on Curaçao: Aqualife.
Aqualife consists of 6 not too large homes, mostly used by the owners for their own vacation and successfully rented to tourists the rest of the year.
There are no walls or fences within the resort that could abruptly separate the properties. Instead, the character is open which maximizes the lines of sight over the plantings, the pool and, of course, the Spanish Water and the villas with nature surrounding them.
There is a jetty where you can moor a boat up to 20 feet in length.
The main place of the house is the porch. There you sit nice and private behind the house on the side of the water. Out on the refreshing breeze and with perhaps the best water view on the island.
Adjacent is the living room with open kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, each with its own bathroom. As the only property on the resort, Aqualife 2 has a floor with a 3rd bedroom with its own 3rd bathroom and also a terrace. Needless to say, there is no more romantic place than this terrace to sit here at night before bed to enjoy the space and the lights around you.
